CHURCH SECRETARY

PERMANENT POSITION AVAILABLE: PT Church Secretary

SALARY: $15 (negotiable based on skill level/experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Basic Assignment:

Under Pastor’s direction performs clerical and administrative support.

Accountability:

Reports directly to the Pastor. Working M-F, 9 am – 1 pm with some flexibility.

Qualifications:

A. Positive, friendly good work ethic;

B. Professional demeanor is necessary as the first point of contact with the church;

C. Maintain confidentiality on all church and member-related matters;

D. Commitment to working with congregational volunteers;

E. Willingness to learn new programs, with training, to complete new tasks.

Basic Duties:

A. Create and handle all church communications: mail, phone, email, and in person;

B. Create weekly worship bulletins, monthly newsletters, letters, update signage as needed;

C. Enter member data and create reports;

D. Normal Office Duties: filing, maintaining inventory of office supplies;

E. Additional duties may be added as needed.

Requirements:

A. Moderate Skills: Typing, use of Microsoft programs, Google Platform, basic knowledge of typical church office software.

Ability to learn:

A. Ignite (digital sign), Digital Platforms (Google Sites: website, Facebook), and Power Church (member data).
